Bush Will Announce Health Insurance Changes

In Tuesday’s State of the Union Address, President Bush, sure to get heckles from the crowd over his new strategy in Iraq, may get cheers from both sides of the isle regarding his new health insurance plan.

According to US News, “President Bush will propose a tax deduction of $7,500 for individuals and $15,000 for families regardless of whether they buy their own health insurance or receive medical coverage at work.”

I think it’s obvious that Mitt’s success at revolutionizing health care in Massachusetts has influenced not only other states like California, but has also made it possible for Republicans to include the issue of health care as part of their platform at the national level.
